John C. Fremont Healthcare District is offering an eight week paid Nursing Assistant Training Program, starting January 2020. Trainees are hired as temporary employees and receive on-the-job training, earning the current minimum wage. Upon satisfactory completion of the educational requirements and successfully passing the State's nursing assistant exam, they will continue as a JCF employee, and their hourly rate increases to $13.76.
Persons applying for this job training program must meet the State's criteria for nursing assistant certification as well as passing a background check, drug and alcohol testing, and a physical. The District is a drug-free workplace. Candidates must be 18 years old by the start of the program and be a high school graduate or GED equivalent.
